Carpentry Services
There was a time in which most household items were constructed of wood. Due to massive globalization efforts, much of what we have in our homes is made of plastic, commercial grade vinyl and synthetic wood. As a result, carpentry is a dying trade. Only those truly dedicated to the craft have survived. The Fayetteville Handyman is one of the few master carpenters you will find in the area. Unlike our competitors, we have not priced our services at a premium. We offer carpentry services at a price you can afford. Contact us for residential and commercial offerings.
Cabinets, Armoires and Custom Tables & Chairs Annette and John are long time clients of The Fayetteville Handyman. A young couple in their early 50’s, they both have a penchant for antiques and handcrafted furniture. Our relationship was first cultivated when Annette contracted us to build an armoire. She mentioned that instead of traveling to South Carolina, she wanted to support homegrown businesses. We used cedar wood which has antimicrobial properties and renders a fresh scent for a lifetime. Over the years we have crafted a variety of household items for the couple. We can do the same for you too. Shelving, Bookcases and Chest of Drawers Although John and Annette were both learned people, John was a professor and had acquired a lifetime of textbooks, academic journals, novels, white papers and non-fiction titles. Once Annette’s armoire was complete, he asked us to construct custom bookcases for his study. He wanted a light colored wood with minimal stain and maximum detail. The bookcases were constructed offsite and fitted onsite. The bookcases took up an entire wall in his study. John was so pleased with the floor to ceiling bookcases with hand carved detail, that we contracted us to build and install shelving in the study and garage. End Tables and Consoles The Fayetteville Handyman is not going anywhere. We are born and bred in this city. It is our goal to establish a long term relationship with each of our customers. In addition to armoires, custom tables and chairs, cabinets, shelving, bookcases and chest of drawers, over the years we have also crafted end tables and a console for the couple. Annette and John had a small hallway at the entrance of the home before you reached the foyer. They wanted a decorative piece of furniture to place their keys, mail and other personal effects. The end console we created was placed just beyond the door. Shoe Rack and Light Installations Increasingly, more Americans have adopted the Eastern practice of removing shoes before entering their homes. This practice cuts down on disease, dirt and bacteria. One of the more recent pieces we constructed for this couple was a multi-tiered shoe rack. Annette was a shoe hound. She had over 100 shoes in her collection. Given that her closet was located upstairs, she found that her shoes crowded the entrance to the front door. Our carpenter crafted a light weight shoe rack designed for flats and heels. Contact us if you are in need of a shoe rock complete with illumination. |
